Marina AbramovicThe Artist is Present, 2010

From Museum of Modern Art, NYC:

The Artist Is Present, The Museum of Modern Art’s first performance retrospective, Abramović performed in the Donald B. and Catherine C. Marron Atrium every day the Museum was open between March 14 and May 31, 2010. Visitors were encouraged to sit silently across from the artist for a duration of their choosing, becoming participants in the artwork. Many visitors ended up in tears, frightened and stunned by the simple and timeless performance.

This amazing house was build in 2006 by Arquitectura Orgánica. A young couple with two children from Mexico City who after living in a conventional home wanted to change to one integrated to nature. The goal of this project was to make it feel like an internal inhabitant of a snail, like a mollusk moving from one chamber to another, like a symbiotic dweller of a huge fossil maternal cloister.

uh can i live here

This looks very Gaudi-esque.

‘You wander around on the street, absorbed in your own thoughts without having the time neither the will or the simple curiosity to look at other people. Just a second, one snapshot would nonetheless be enough to catch one piece of mind, the frailty of a mere thought. What is her or his story? Can I only guess it? What about the people they know, the places where they go, their fears and dreams? To which point can one imagine them by just looking at those anonyms? Does the eye of the camera have the power to sketch their stories on a single shot?’

John Romang uses ink and resin to created free flowing organic shapes that are frozen in time. Each work is illuminated with a fluorescent light.
